Jim Engledow was honored to present this month’s #KamiahCares award to long-time volunteer Tim Lee at the 19 April School Board meeting. Lee has served the district for more than three decades as a track and wrestling mentor to young athletes. As he received the award, he looked around at Trustees and guests and proclaimed “the real honor is to be here for the second generation – I’ve had the pleasure to coaching you and your kids…and I hope to be around for a long time!”
The monthly award is presented to community members and businesses who have shown outstanding support for the district and its students. Recipients receive a plaque and their names (or business names) are added to a cumulative plaque in the District Office.
