Board Recognizes 2021 Valedictorian and Salutatorian and Addresses Continuing Covid-19 Protocols

At the regular board meeting held last night, Kamiah Joint School District No. 304 Board of Trustees recognized this year’s Salutatorian and Valedictorian and watched as family members placed the awards around the necks of Mya Barger (Salutatorian) and Cecily Puckett (Valedictorian).

The Trustees also voted to continue the current Covid-19 protocols that are in place regarding student/staff safety. As a result, we will continue to monitor students daily for symptoms and conduct temperature checks, provide hand sanitizer, and physical distance to the best of our ability while in school. Masks will remain optional for students and staff while in school, however, they are required while riding district transportation.

Lastly, the Board of Trustees has directed building and district administration to follow state and IHSAA guidelines in regards to spectator attendance at all outdoor spring athletic events. At this time, the Superintendent and Athletic Director have not received any information that clarifies spectator attendance limits, however as information comes in, we will share that with the community.
