Boys Basketball Senior Night Tonight Makes Way For More Spectators

After meeting with school administrators and also reviewing the Governor’s latest plan, Dr. Merrill is announcing an update to our spectator protocols beginning tonight that will:

Increase spectator attendance to 4 spectators per participating athlete

Begin admitting high school students (in a designated student section

Because we are unable to meet the physical distancing requirements as required by the Governor, we will require masks at all times (both moving and seated) for fans/student spectators.
This is the first time the Governor has given the option of physical distancing/no masks when seated (or) masks at all times/6ft physical distancing not maintained. Dr. Merrill understand’s that masks may be disagreeable for some, but this plan will allow us to not only double the number of fans for all players, but it also includes home HS students which he has been advocating for since the beginning.

Ms. York and Ms. Wilson will consistently monitor and recommend changes if our plan to increase spectator attendance is not effective. Also, the board of trustees will review this plan at their next meeting. Go Kubs!
