Dear Kamiah School District parents, staff, and community members:
We have learned of one student at Kamiah High School who has tested positive for Covid-19.
The individual was tested on Tuesday and learned of the positive results today. Kamiah School Administration has been in contact with North Central District Health and have begun contact tracing students and staff that were potentially exposed. This individual was last on campus on Monday November 9, 2020.
As a result of the positive case and known exposure, we will require masks that cover the nose and mouth, to be worn by all students and staff at Kamiah High School through November 24, 2020. Also, all students K-12 will be required to wear masks that cover the nose and mouth on district transportation through November 24, 2020.
Kamiah School District will continue to clean and disinfect surfaces inside all district schools, buses, and facilities. Additionally, we will continue to monitor all students and staff and encourage anyone who is feeling sick to please stay home. If your student remains home during this time, please remind them to login daily to the Schoology LMS to access, complete, and submit work that was missed as a result of their absence.
Sincerely,
Dr. Benjamin Merrill
Superintendent
