Kamiah “Soft-Close” Continues – Food Service Delivers M-Th

Press Release: 3/26/20

Following directives from Governor Little and the State Board of Education, Kamiah School District will continue to operate with the soft closure until April 20, 2020. Teachers will continue to provide learning packets and/or on-line lessons through home delivery or in school pickup. Staff will establish timelines for due dates for the homework to be completed and returned. Students are expected to meet all timelines and will be held accountable for assigned work that can be returned to the school in person or sent back via school bus. Third-quarter grades will be rolled into a second-semester grade. The District will record a final semester grade at the end of the school year that totals all work for that time period.

In a continued effort to meet the needs of our community, emergency feeding will continue through April 16 and will include spring break. Foodservice will not be providing breakfast and lunches on Fridays.

Up to date information will be communicated as the situation changes for the District. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Steve Higgins,
Superintendent
