Kamiah Votes YES!

A significant source of funding for student instruction is a local property tax called the Supplemental Levy. On Tuesday, 10 March, the ballot question asked district residents to approve funding for our schools. It was a tight race, but in the end, voters approved a two-year supplemental levy at $647,000 annually so that we can continue to meet the community’s expectations and provide course offerings that exceed the state requirements. As in the past, the District will continue to work toward efficiency while maintaining existing programs and expanding student opportunities yet staying conservative in its spending. Superintendent Higgins and the staff at Kamiah school district thanks our community for the voter response in Tuesday’s levy vote. “We appreciate your support and the efforts of the planning committee for sharing the message with our patrons.”
