On September 11, 2018 Kamiah 4th and 5th grade students made the long trek to the historic Lochsa Ranger Station for a day filled with exciting learning activities. The students learned how to make biscuits in a dutch oven and how to use a crosscut saw. They also enjoyed demonstrations on horse packing, remote fire lookout stations, smoke jumping and welding.
The weather was near perfect – neither too hot or too cold and the students and teachers/chaperones enjoyed the outing.
