Kamiah HOSA Wins Big at State

Many people in Kamiah have heard of HOSA, otherwise known as Future Health Professionals. It’s a club at Kamiah High School that allows students to attend leadership conferences and compete in academic events. This year, Kamiah’s team had great success at the HOSA state competition during the first week of April.

“Kamiah was represented by 14 students who competed in 7 events.  Out of those seven events, Kamiah student teams won 1 gold medal, 2 silver medals, and 1 bronze medal.   On top of these wins, one of our students was elected as an Idaho state officer.  For such a small school, this was an amazing and unprecedented victory.” –KHS GoFundMe

In order to get all the way to the International HOSA competition in Orlando Florida in June, the Kamiah High School HOSA Club has to fundraise like crazy. The HOSA students have set up a GoFundMe, and were interviewed by KLEW News last week in the KHS Library. The KLEW segment aired over the weekend. Watch it below!

Don’t forget about the HOSA Color Blast, happening next month, on May 7th.
